June 2005 DRSS Hunt - Crowell, Texas
|
In June, 2005, the DRSS held a wild hog hunt in Crowell, Texas. Since the first hunt at Camp Cooley in 2002, this was the first hunt where more than just a close circle of local Texans and Oklahomans got together to shoot double rifles and hunt hogs. Jim S. (AKA "jjs") of Tennessee and Paul H. (AKA "577NitroExpress") of Virginia met up with Fred A. (AKA "CFA"), Jim G. (AKA "470Evans"), Mark C. (AKA "400 Nitro Express"), Rusty K. (AKA "Rusty"), Tony B. (AKA "NE450No2"), Perry N. (AKA "PWN375"), and Dave W. and spent three days shooting double rifles, hunting wild hogs and visiting with new and old friends.
At this hunt, only two hogs were taken due to the hot weather - NE405No2 and jjs both harvested hogs, but this get together was more than hunting. Friendships were forged and, more importantly, the membership of the DRSS was growing!
